Rhee Tae Kwon Do was the FIRST Australian Martial Arts school founded by Korean Master Chong Chul Rhee using the name of Tae Kwon Do. Master Rhee’s school was also the first nationwide Tae Kwon Do school in Australia, having operated in South Australia from its founding in the mid-1960s, Western Australia from at least 1969, Victoria from at least 1971, the Australian Capital Territory from 1971, Queensland from at least 1973, New South Wales from 1973, and Tasmania from at least 1983.

Australia’s BIGGEST Tae Kwon Do School

Rhee Tae Kwon Do is the BIGGEST Tae Kwon Do school in Australia with over 294 individual training centres (Korean: Dojang) Australia-wide. It is also worth noting that over 25 founders of other Australian Martial Art and Tae Kwon Do schools (and at least one in New Zealand) have received their foundational training in the art of Rhee Tae Kwon Do or were former Rhee Tae Kwon Do instructors themselves.
