As we get older, the aging process makes our bodies more fragile and brittle, especially when we lead very sedentary lifestyles. That is why it is important that we lead an active lifestyle in our 40’s and 50’s and continue to exercise into our 60’s and 70’s.

Rhee Tae Kwon Do training is becoming popular with people in the older age bracket of 50’s-70’s as it offers improved physical fitness and mental alertness and allows the older practitioners to discover their physical capabilities while gaining an added life skill and highly effective self-defence techniques.

The brain needs to be exercised just as much as the muscles within the body. By engaging in Rhee Tae Kwon Do training, repetitive and reflexive training allows the practitioners to build new neural networks and in turn challenge and stimulate their mental capacities.

Helps Develop NEW FRIENDSHIPS and renewed sense of COMMUNITY
Training with an ever growing community of like-minded individuals of all ages, focusing on staying active, healthy and improving their Martial Arts skills, is a strong motivational factor for regular and ongoing training.

Keeps your body FIT and in GOOD HEALTH
Rhee Tae Kwon Do training is great for flexibility, increased mobility, fat burning, maintaining healthy cardiovascular health, and improving muscle tone. All of these factors help maintain your overall fitness and aid in preventing and controlling common illnesses that are almost always present as you age, such as arthritis, high blood pressure, diabetes, osteoporosis, and heart disease.

Helps Slow Down and even REVERSE THE AGING PROCESS
As we get older, we experience major changes in our balance, strength, posture, flexibility, and endurance, which are mainly a result of inactivity.

Regular Rhee Tae Kwon Do training helps you prevent and correct poor posture due to aging, and ensures that your muscles, joints, tendons, and connective tissues remain flexible and active, preventing the onset of osteoporosis and muscular atrophy.
